This is a dark moody image and it works that way.I like the progression from the dark forground to the lively lighted area.I think this would have been a much stronger image by cropping the blue dome and thus the dark path to the lights would work better.

Hi Colin. I like the composition and star effect coming from lamps. Unfortunately this is quite dark and shadows dosn't have that much details. Taking this kind of shot either on RAW where you can save more details or earlier when there is still some light in a sky left could improve this image a lot.

Thank you caj for your very good comment. I agree its it too dark and it shows the limitation of a point & shoot, no raw option. I did try lifting the shadows - it didn't look as atmospheric. regards Colin
