Danny, I usually never critique portraits but I just couldn't help it because I love this shot. The exposure is great and the detail is fantastic. That mixed with the playfulness of your son make for a great shot. However, I do agree with the previous post about cutting off the hands. I think it would be more affective if you would crop the bottom of the picture a little bit more, maybe just below the elbows.

I like this photo ok. He seems to be having some fun. One nit are the hands being cut off. I like the blurred background. I had to laugh when I saw this because the series Ijust did a a 6 yr old. We asked her once to stick out her tongue and she said no that is rude lol So tell you son that

Thanks. You're right about the hands. Unfortunately my son thinks rudeness is a badge of honour. Fortunately, he doesn't know any really rude words yet! By the way, looked at your pics of Jess, I assume that's the series you mean - excellent shots, if I may say so. Daniel
