Thumb-up    from lumapluma/Andrea (15,959) Send mail to this user on September 22, 2008 2:46:45 PM CDT (2) Early critique

Hi Michael
The pink pond is beautiful but the background really detracts a lot
May I suggest some work on it as you did in Blowin'in? The look of old hand painted postcards really fits... Thanks for sharing

Thanks, Andrea ... I'll give it a try.

Hi Michael. Not sure what you're trying to achieve here. If this photo were taken on a grey afternoon, would you still post it? The pink reflections give a different angle on still water, but the black tree trunks add nothing, the sky is washed out, the foreground is murky, and there is nothing else to focus on. Possibly you could get a more interesting perspective if you cropped away the entire top third of the image and concentrated on the reflections in the little 'pond'. Sorry to be so negative.

I'll try the crop suggestion. I'm most interested in the reflections and objects in the water. You have interesting suggestions ... thanks for taking time to suggest them.
