Thumb-up Thumb-up    from night/Bartek (11,927) Send mail to this user on June 26, 2008 9:55:10 AM CDT (1) Early critique

Hi Ulrich.

It's a pity this photo has so little vies and comments. I really like the tranquility of this view, composition is good and DOF is very nicely chosen. There is no real focal point, but the photo doesn't need it, the shape and texture of the little wall connected with cold colours are making really good and emotive photo. The only thing distracting me is fact that the horizon is leading to the right.

Best regards, Bartek

Thumb-up Thumb-up    from ollie0626/Jonathan (3,494) Send mail to this user on June 24, 2008 10:42:12 AM CDT (2) Early critique

Hi Ulrich - I think this is a wonderful composition, and compelling choice of depth of field. This picture illustrates that you have a good eye - taking a simple structure and turning it into a compelling photo. The colors of the sky do not add to the shot in my mind and as such, I wonder if this shot would be a good candidate for a black and white conversion? Good capture! Cheers, Jonathan
