"Tranquil" is right, Joe! Gorgeous colors. This so reminds me of a Creedence Clearwater Revival album cover. Were you in a boat here? If not, I certainly hope you had waders on. :) AND a plastic bag for your Nikon. Great capture!

I was in a 12-ft flat bottom "jon" boat. My friend used his trolling motor and went all around the swamp. Really neat. A really peaceful place and it is a protected wildlife area. Thanks for looking and commenting. Joe
PS: Would not care to use waders...way too many BIG gators!

Glad you were in a boat! Also, I certainly envy your proximity to this swamp. Swamps are one of my favorite environments and I do not get to visit them very often. Hope you can shoot more from here.

My friend who invited me along, has fished this lake hundreds of times for he lives about 10 minutes away. He had been telling me that we would go and spend an afternoon on the lake and when I got the call to go, I jumped at it. Hopefully there will be a return trip soon. It is quiet and with his trolling motor, the wildlife stay put longer.
