Tom, very clean composition and satisfying all around. the shot has presence. purposely haven't read the other crits yet, but I think you could improve this through selective sharpening and contrast to make the book pop just a bit. 2.75 Johnnie Cakes. Regards..Hank

Beautiful image. Nice soft ambient light. I think the slight toning compliments the subject. The texture of the wood and the paper add a nice character to the photo. Very Nice.

Amazing composition. The shadows are fantastic, and despite lower light, the detail is very sharp. Enough so that I could read the names of the hymns. Did you choose those intentionally? The hymn book looks aged, with matches perfectly with the old, wooden pew and worn cushion. Great choice on the b/w. Overall fantastic effort. Thanks for sharing!
