A nice area that I went to based on a shot I saw from another PSIGer here of a different set of buildings on this lake - this would have been a good shot for a 30-50mm lens, but I didn't know how close the buildings were and brought a 120-300 lens, hence this is a 10 shot panorama. The shots took long enough that the light changed from start to finish and I had to process the RAW images to try and account for this - C&C's welcome!

Nicely done, John

Your stiching looks pretty seamless except for some lighting changes on the right side.

Very colorful. I would like to see it in a print, I don't think web sized images can do justice to panorama shots.

Well done, Harold

Hi Harold - I need to go back and shoot this better with a wider lens - I started the pano on the building on the right, and went CCW adding the bridge at the last moment - and the light in the sky changed too much during those 10 shots - nice area though! (and it does look better bigger!) John

Hmm the dark parts in the sky don't bother me a bit. I love the bridge and the sharpness and detail are great. I agree about cropping out the electrical thingy's, the end of the left most building seems like a more natural break. The reflections here make this shot a joy to veiw. Carole

good idea on the left crop - next time I'm in town, I'll try this again, and see if i can get it all right! John

Very nice work here John. Exposure is excellent. First thing that jumped out though were the power lines on the left. I'd crop those out unless you specifically wanted them. The reflections on the water are very nice and probably my favorite part of the image. I also agree with the previous reviewer about the sky. Perhaps judicious use of the healing brush in photoshop or some cloning could even out the sky a bit. I'm sure it's also made worse by the jpeg compression. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Torin - I think you're right about the power lines - and as far as the sky, rather than play more with this, i'll try to shoot it correctly next time - thanks for looking! John

Hi John, the technical side is perfect and near to the flawless: the exposure is well managed and show a lot of details without burned areas. The colors are also well balanced, with a good saturation and a brilliant look. What I don't like is the distracting element on the left side (electric "buildings") and the effect in the sky, on the right is visible a "dark effect" that remind me that this is a ten picture's panorama. However, the entire effect is pleasant but... I prefer Frisco's view :) Best regards, Enrico

Hi Enrico - that dark effect I tried to minimize, but I guess I really need to shoot this over - I thought it was pleasant though as you say, and figured it was worth a post for comments - thanks! (I prefer SF too!) John
