Nice effect and beautiful colors. It seems it may be improved by smoothing out a bit more the transitions between sharp and blurred areas.
Have you been inspired by the works of Japanese photographer Naoki Honjo ?

Hello Philippe,
Yes, you achieved your goal with this picture. The players really look like toys and I always liked pictures like this.
There are a few things I dont like. The players in white are good but nothing is there to excite the viewer. The action is on the upper right corner but the picture is blurred there.
Therefore, this version of your photo has lost the center of interest.
The blurring on the Goalpost is bad. You have to selectively blur that area. In the front it is less blurred than it is in the back.
Dont give up! Good idea!

Philippe, good job.
In addition to what was already said, it looks like you also did something to the grass? Almost like some fake grass you see on a toy train set as well. One additional change is nice as well: the crop. It strengthens the idea of toys (kind of like you are looking at a table. Together with the grazing angle it was shot at: Nice!

Thanks Andries for your appreciation. Nothing specific for the grass, it is the color saturation (specially the yellow) that adds to the sensation it is not real grass.

You achieved your desired results well. I though they were toys that should have been entered in last month's assignment. Nice work reducing DOF and color of field looks almost game board like. Thanks for sharing.
