My fav of the plane ones, love the smoke once again.
Composition is great with the plane on the bottom right 3rd. Again dont mind the ISO grain, adds an old feel to it & like it. You have some really great work!!

This caught my eye right away. Full of drama. More reminisent of a war movie than stunt show., congrats.

Wow, this is not something we see everyday. Beside a rare subject to common viewers, the visual pattern formed by the trail and the plane is very pleasing to the eyes. I would hope the plane is sharper, maybe asking too much? If you convert this to black and white with proper contrast I believe it would be a stunning image.

Stunning - the grain/noise enhances rather than detracts here - might try running the gamma up, but I'm not sure that it would improve much -
*edit* - it does help IMHO - I'll leave the three Tu though - it's still a stunning image

Jimmy, I absolutely love this image- I even like the noise in this one! But the over-sharpening it's what gets me here. I may even be tempted to give you a 3 TU if you get rid of those halos. This is one great piece of fine art I would hang on my wall! Beautiful! Best regards

Thanks, Shawn, I may have over-sharpened a bit, you right. Anyway, thanks for your remarks and for stopping by. Regards, Jimmy.

I like the grain, it gives dimension to the smoke, great movement captured here, Jimmy, I can see the plane move with all this smoke you captured. Thank you for sharing. Jacline

Thank you, Jacline, glad you like the picture. I also like the smoke trail left by the plane. It lets you see its flight path :)

Ok, my 7 year old son saw this picture and went "Aww cool". I too think this picture is "cool". The grain IMO fits this picture very well. I love that you got the swirling exhaust from the plane. And the plane itself you can see the details of it. The colors seem right on. Very nice. Thank you for sharing.

I am not sure how others would feel about the grains, but personally I think it adds because of the age of the plane, good POV to have it flying towards you after the rolling, a nice shot for me to enjoy Jimmy. Cheers.......Edwin

Hi Edwin,
Thanks you like the pic (and the grain too! :)) BTW, the plane is not old, it's a fairly modern biplane made especially for aerobatic flying ;) Take care.

It was ISO 1600 hence the grain :)
I love it. All the grain gives it a feel of a painting not a photo. Dof and the crop are spot on for me. JMO Thank you for sharing. Brad

Thanks Brad, the ISO remark was a preventive one since many folks out there tend to be put off by such noise :) Regards, Jimmy

I thought, at first glance, wow this is way to noisy. But...I think it is better with the noise. The mood, if that's the word I'm grasping for, is really enhanced I think. Excellent critique on a great photo. It would make a great poster! -Scott

Ingeneral I wouls expect the plane a little bit from the side, but in this picture the fron shot seems to be OK. It gives a strong feeling and the power. Well done!
