Wow, this picture is flawless! I like the misty looking hills in front and how the clouds are darker near the other side. This photo gives me a mysterious and exciting feeling! I wish i can go there too! great job!

This is absolutely stunning, Post-processing must've taken ages for this shot.
There are some..white blotches in the middle/right section, maybe you could have erased them
But other than that, brilliant!

If you really took this shot in a hurricane, then you are one crazy dude! I guess the saying a photographers work is never done comes into play here! It's a nice shot, the only thing that I have a problem with is the small patch of light in the background. The radio tower doesn't make the picture look any better, but it doesn't take away from it too much, so... other then that I like it.

Well, maybe it needs one thing - Lightning! ;)
A very unique and successful photo. After a few minute's thought it reminds me of something out of Kate Bush's ' 7th wave.' The foreground stuctures are intriguing - are they nipples, geysers, craters? Any photo that makes you stop and say "what the hell is that?" is a success!
The cliff and stormy sky in the background add depth and 'feel' to the scene. Too bad about the radio tower, although I applaud your decision not to clone it out.
Three well deserved thumbs up!

I like the feeling of alienation and incoming danger. nice composition and structure build on the line of rocks. yet, orange spot in the middle over the horizon spoils a little bit the general impression. IMHO you keep this photo in 100% blue-monochrome.

I like this image.
The long exposure and blue tone give the scene a piece of "calmness" - the calm before the storm. It seems unusually quiet and peaceful. However, you know something... something violent is about to come...
The cropping is just fine - the low, dark, and heavy cloud actually adds some sort of pressure to the scene and makes the images more intense. It is so intense that you feel almost suffocated... in a nice contrast to the smooth flow of water in the foreground.
To j alpha: I believe this picture was taken in north Taiwan during the typhoon season - summer.
To Tom Merrow, Eric Dammer, and anyone who is interested: the "small rounded-off, flat-topped features" are one of the unique rock formations called "Candle Rock" located at the north coast in Taiwan.
There are a lot of sea-eroded landform types such as Cuesta, Ocean-erosion cliff, Ocean-erosion concaved wall, Ocean-erosion cave, Ocean-erosion platform, Sea Cape, and Sea Bay in the north and northeast Taiwan. Over the centuries, these natural rock formations were sculpted by wind and wave.
As a result, we get to see the Mushroom Rocks, Honeycombed Rock, Tofu (Bean Curd) Rock, Ginger Rock, Weathering Ring, Melting Erosion Panel, Ocean-erosion Pot Hole, Ocean-erosion Ditch, and marine fossils along the seashore in this particular area. The "Candle Rock" is just one of those intriguing geological phenomenon.

Hi Hippo! This is a stunning shot! The mood and the monochromatic tone are simply brilliant! Though I noticed a hair thin white line on the left, possibly caused by the scan but then that won't deminished the score! Keep posting the great stuff!

Wonderful usage of slow shutter speed. I like the effect on this picture. I would crop a bit on the top of the picture to bring the horizon to one third of the picture (coz sky is not so interesting). Great job.
