I haven't seen all your pictures yet but you have very beautiful ones. As you allready have all the feedback that you wanted I choose this picture that I like a lot. I like the the fox eye contact and the hears in alert. There is a good separation with the foreground and the colors green-orange works well. I might have prefer without that grass.

Thank you for your critique, Olivier, and glad you like how it turned out. I liked the grass compared to the other pictures I have of this fellow, where he crossed the road. The grass is part of his habitat, and I like that. Keep clicking ;o)
Best regards, Thomas.

Hi Thomas, a very nice shot of the fox. I like the expression and especially the eyes. The grass in front is good and much better than without. One could argue that the one grass leaf close to the eye would be better without. A better sharpnes could have improved it somewhat. Cheers, Hans

Thank you for your critique, Hans, and glad you like it. You're right about the sharpness, but old Nikon-habit and a bit of noise due to a 1-stop underexposure made things worse. Keep clicking my friend :o)
Best regards, Thomas.

Thomas, thought this was a nice shot. Find that I disagree with the other critiques in that I personally did not find the grass blade distracting, in fact I thought it added to the shot. Colors and details are good. Technical aspects are as well. Composition side, thought this needed to be cropped much tighter. Personally thought there was too much open area and it did nothing for the fox which is the main focal point. Would suggest bring the left in to the grass and bring the top down to get rid of about half of the open space. Other than that, nicely done and really enjoyed this.

Thank you for your critique, George and glad you like how it turned out. I also like the grass, but I'm a bit sorry for the noise and could wish for a bit more sharpness. Cropping tighter would not be smart, I cropped it as much as possible I think ;o) Keep clicking :o)

I like it! A classical environmental photo of a Fox. I've seen this look many times myself, but never got it on film. The focus is sharp, the exposure is right on and the color is good. I like the composition, because is is so typical of these critters. A really good job.

I love the picture of the curious animal inspite of the grass blades rudely across its face. I think it is dramatic. Focus is sharp and BG nicely blurred. thanks for sharing it. Regards ifti

Nice capture and very nice exposure. The image is sharp as I would expect from an L lens and a 5D. Too bad there is that grass in the face of the fox.

Thank you for your critique, Gene. Sharpness could be better on this one, its not the cameras fault neither the lens, its more the fault of me choosing too small a shutterspeed. The grass I like, I think it shows the habitat of the animal more than just another upclose picture. Keep clicking :o)
Best regards, Thomas.

I very much love foxes and to watch them play. While this is very typical fox behavior (hiding in tall grasses), sometimes they do come out and my personaly preference is to see the face not so obscured by the grass, especially not having the eye dissected by it.

Thank you for your critique, T.S. I would have liked to see a bit more of it (well, I have a few shots, but the road in the background on those doesn't really add to the scenery ;o)). Keep clicking :o)
Best regards, Thomas.
