Thumb-down    from apeture/Eugene (2,146) Send mail to this user on June 19, 2007 1:43:45 PM CDT (1) Early critique

With respect, I don’t see the connection between the title and the picture. No sarcasm meant, but to me it just looks like a bunch of guys standing around looking at something. Granted there are many forms of prayer but for me, nothing the men are doing suggests prayer, as I know it. (I'm Protestant.) Respectively submitted.

The prayer maybe done a little differently, i.e. not on bended knee or bowed head before an event. I'm not sure what you are critiquing, the image or the apparent disparity between the title and what you see.

I was critiquing the apparent disparity between the title and the picture.

Which is not a valid critique. Critiques are supposed to be based on the technical quality of the image, not on your like/dislike/misunderstanding of a selected title.

Sorry that you didn't see connection between the title and the picture, but THEY ARE actually praying before the start of the game. Check this one "Team Prayer" from a much wider perspective. Its just a documentary kind of photograph, otherwise I don't intend to show or convey praying methodology of any denomination or religion for that matter. I was expecting a critic on the image and its quality.
