Really nice shot there Rich. You've managed to capture the scene, in muted colors, and pull it off as a very nice panoramic. The clouds resting just above the canyon give an added dimension to this shot, not normally seen, and often considered a nuisance to those trying to capture the "perfect Grand Canyon shot".
I'm not really sure that keeping the foreground bush on the far right was the correct decision for my tastes, but still very nicely done.

Technically very nice job on the stitching. The first thing I notice, though, is the nice, real, muted tones and beautiful detail created in this nice, even light. The flow of light to dark is really nice. I must admit that I don't love the impact of the foliage at the right. It provides depth, and a little weight, but I'm afraid that doesn't help really here in the overall effect. Nonetheless, a really nice job.

It is really hard to do this location justice when you have to lower the resolution for web size. You really took advantage of the low lying clouds as a nice horizontal element in the photo. And I thin kthe tree on the right helps anchor the shot.

I had to go with 3tu because I was just there and I was trying to get something like this but did not suceed. This photo really makes you feel there. The lighting really brings out the 3d, if that makes any sense.

This is beautiful. The softer foreground bushes on the right aren't adding to the image imo; but the canyon itself...like you said a beautiful delicate light. Good stuff.

Dear Richard, The main your point of the pict is the delicate lighting so it seems to me quite offsite to suggest more contrast to enrich the bent of the rocks and the walley. You worked quite well with the stiching as the horizon line is neither sloping nor bent. Good job! Those clouds are a good upper frame, but those branches on the left should be more in focus, IMO. That notwithstanding this is a good panoramic pict. Thanks for sharing. Luca

Thanks. Yeah, I wrestled with whether to include the far right hand frame, but felt it was more important to have a visual "stop" at the right. The bushes are annoying; the most foreground ones are thin and spindly, but out of focus, and the ones behind are sharp, and a darker colour.
Mainly I just loved the cooler mood. Thanks for the crit.

Hi Richard, I believe that your choice to include the visual "stop" at the right is perfect.. really perfect. I completely share it. It is a pity for the most foreground bushes which are out of focus. Regards Luca
