HI STeve. I usualy don't like "joined" photos:) However these have something..different. Maybe the simpicity of composition..hardly recognizable object makes it a bit surreal. Great textures both water and sand. Good one. Best regards, Bartek :)

Each of the panels is a beautiful sandy image and they match up very well, one in halves and one in thirds. Sharpness should be adjusted as details look grainy but not very clear.

Might be better conceived artistically as a triptych? I think if you added a third photo, with attention to form of line, it might work well as an abstract, with nice themes of water/sand/foam and subtle colors of nature.

Some thoughts, Steve. For me, it would work a little better if the the water line was almost equal on the horizonatal of the two images. It would add a little symmetry to the two images that would be broken by the washed ashore kelp. I find the light kind of flat and a little dull. The sand texture doesn't seem quite as vibrant if the light had the light been a little better. I do like the idea behind the shot.

Hi David. Funny that you suggest the water line be similar in each frame! I did in fact try that when playing with the two photos and when I aligned the water line in each frame it ended up looking like a single photo that had been split instead of two separate photos. Did that make any sense? Light... well, it was the middle of an overcast day so yes it could have been better. Glad you like the concept nonetheless and appreciate your critique and will keep working at it :) Steve

I see what you are saying. I guess you need something else to stage the photo a little better and show it isn't just one photo like say a footstep or a stone in both images.
