Very nice Eric! I do agree with Max though about the two lights, and I think I'd clone the smaller one out - I'd also prefer the lower leaves cloned out, and maybe the browning part of the flower on top - very nice detail and lighting on the hummer - John

Well done Eric! I like the color and the detail show here. I might suggest three minor things, one to clone out one of the catchlights seen in the eye, and two, clone out the piece of plant below the hummer and three, there's a little piece of plant just above the flower at the extreme edge of the frame that could go. I would be pleased if my images were like this! 2.5TU. Less than a month to go for Arizona!

I cant believe this had a 1tu review. This is the first time I have seen such a clear hummingbird shot. Guess I'd better check out your gallery! Its sharp, shows loads of detail and the timing is perfect. I would probably clone out the lower leaves (or at least try).

It's a classig and I'm sure takes special skill and technique to catch - but to me it looks artificial with the lighting, two pinlights in the eyes is rarely a good thing, light is flat and removes the 3 dimentional shape of flower and bird. The breen leaves stick out and distract, could be cloned away or better, arranged better in the next shooting. Sorry Eric it is an amazing catch, but not a pretty picture. ;o)-max-

Awesome! Great capture of a spirited, quick little bird. You must have waited a bit to get this one. Great macro work. Thanks for posting. Francene

Hi Eric. Nice image you have here. Everything is perfect, but if I were I would try to show some motion of wings, just a bit, with slower shutter speed. Beside this suggestion 3TU. Sasa

What a nice capture here. I like the colours and moment captured. Also DOF seems to be just perfect. There is a small part of the leaf at the bottom which is bit eye distraciting and also slight contact of the wing with the flower. ;-) I know its a quickee, but.. ;-) 2,5TU Cheers, R.

Wow Eric, well capture of the hummingbird, I have no complain at all on the bird and the red flower but something in the background distrubs a bit. There is a curvy leaf or something at the bottom edge below the bird, more than that, the light reflection on the front most leaf appears too bright to me. You my just do a slight crop at the bottom to get rid of both. A well done done and enjoyable shot indeed Eric, thanks for sharing. Cheers.......Edwin
