Photo made in the Everglades. The heron came out of the water about five feet away. He was very nerveous as the fish was flopping around and he was so close to me. Slightly cropped.

Hi Grey, this close-up shot is very enjoyable and the prey is enjoyable by the heron too. Nothing to complaint but want to see a sharper eye of the heron. Thanks Grey for sharing this wonderful catch. Cheers.....Edwin

Excellent and exciting capture (for you and the heron) and the only thing I could ask for is to see a little more of both the heron and the fish. Janet

Greg, I don't know how you could do much better than this. Colors and contrast are very good. It could be a little sharper though, and maybe a little more space above the eye. Still a very nice shot ~ Ron

WOW, Greg!! what a great action shot, all detailed and well cropped, the fish looks like a yound sturgeon, I don't know it they exist in Florida? thank you fr sharing such a great shot! Jacline
