I thought I would try to capture the delicate beauty that we often miss as we walk this fast paced road call life. If you notice the bright white spot in the bloom, it is actually a sun burst reflecting off of the bloom itself. Easier to see in the actual 35mm print. Photo is as taken except some developing/scanning error removal in Photoshop and Paintshop Pro. I am new to photography in the past 3-4 months but I am totally hooked. Started with this camera but decided to go digital with a Nikon D70s also. Will upload some more as I am able.

Thank you for your words. I realize this isn't the most interesting shot but that's ok. I will be unloading much more other shots you may find interesting. Thanks again. Terry

Welcome, welcome, I do see a subject, I very much like the grass/wheat (?) as a subject. The thing I would like to see though is for the right side to be cropped off to keep our eye on the main subject... again welcome, this is a great place to have fun and learn, both by doing critiques and posting our photos. Firstly welcome to Photosig. For a first submission, you picked an easy subject but, regrettably, not a very interesting one as there is a lack of a focal point. A rock, a bird, a butterfly anything other than the grass would have made a huge difference. I appreciate what you were trying to convey but, somehow, can not quite see it in your submission. Good concept and you can only get better through practise and that's where your D70 will come in handy. Cheers, Rick.
