Wow Max, only just saw this and what a shot, I really love it. The background is superb for such a shot. Do you happen to exhibit your work in print somewhere?

I just love puffins! The angle, diagonal, and perspective on this one are fabulous, Max. I am curious as to the green in the background, is that all sky color or was there a tree included? It almost looked like an aurora borealis!
I promise not to comment on the frame.

This is not a critique about this photo (that is good), but because it's not possible to put it at the right place, about your photo "Chilly morning" that I don't understand why it is withdrawn without even letting the time to see it (and what is even more incomprehensible (not sure about this word in english), without no comment explaining why) .
Hope you will reload it

Sorry mate I lost my cool - I've been posting my pictures for years, good or bad, and most of this time with my white mat - I've commented and explained what it is about - so when I travel to the end of the world and do a reasonable nice shot and people comment on the frame, I get pissed off. But still smiling - a pity you don't feel compelled to give this image a word or two, uhm.. ?? ;o))-max-

I think you have not understand my answer (or I did'nt understand your answer) , perhaps my english ? (I've tried to tanslate your answer with babelfish but it did'nt gave something really comprehensive)
Re-read my comment The part concerning this pic (OK it was short), I've said : (that is good).
But my comment concerned mostly a previous pic from you (Chilly morning) that you withdrawed very fast and I did'nt understand why? (so I did'nt had time to see it before it was withdrawn)
I wrote this comment about an older photo here, because photo net doesn't allow to write a critique on a withdrawn photo.
But be sure I appreciate your photos that are very good and interesting for the very most of them

This is a great capture. The bird is well in focus, sharp, and detailed. The DoF really adds to the action. The colors are also unique and draw attention to the over all image. As mentioned, I do think it could have been cropped a little tighter, but IMO not much. The additional space insinuates more movement or actions, as if the bird is going somewhere. Great job, and keep it up!

Very lovely photo Max. The bird is sharp and flying in wide open space. Colors are good. The green tinge in background is a bit unusual. Thanks for sharing. Regards ifti

Good sharpness, nicely framed and a very colorful background (plus you even got her to pose for the camera). A tab too much empty space, but still a great job.
