Great shot Tom. I love the background and the fact that you are able to show her as if she is just standing on water. To me though, it looks like the type of photo relating to something heavenly. If she was made up to look like an angel would work better. Just my sudgestion. Thanks for sharring.

Sorry Robert, I don't believe much in angels... Maybe a bomb belt around her waist could get some thoughts flying ?

I think you caught the feeling here. This is certainly an wierd interesting, different and emotive photo and works well as a metaphor. The sky isnt that great compared to the rest. I may have liked her to be dead center and have less sky. Well done.

Very interesting, anything mysterious photo. Central position of Model and symethry between sky and water play good. Pastel colours of background give in opposition to Model quite interesting space. Rgds, Artur

Hi Tom, beautiful work, but that you already knew :) I wondered why you did not bring her in the exact center of the vertical and the horizontal. I mean, a little more to the left and a little higher. The feeling of 'too much sky' does add to the longing, indeed. The pink 'smoke screen' is strange. Her dark feet... boots? Though she longs, she's perfectly planted in the ground... not floating... heavy... Yes, longing can sometimes be like that. Take care. Luc

This gives me a very good feeling. Eerie colors, nice pose. Well done.
On the other hand ... where is the horizon? My eyes keep searching and I think it has been PSed away, hasn't it? Looking closed, I can make out some VERY similar structures in the waters which leads me to the conclusion that u used the stamp tool here excessively, right? The background doesn't seem to be right that way ...
Hope this helps,
Herwig

Cracking picture, Can easily see it on the wall. Just wondering if it is one shot or if you manipulated in some way. Either way great image.

Well, to all of you: my motto is not to simply take pictures, but to make them. This is actually just one shot, but has been worked on. The horizon has been clones away and I see it might need som more work. Thanks.

Looks like a work by Scott Mutter... do you know him? You should definitely check out his work.

Don't you think Mutter's stuff relies on more 'fantasy' than is evident here - more juxtaposing elements for effect? He uses black and white to emphasize his imagery ... the color here, I think, softens the image and bases it more in reality?

Nice striking image. For me this is a good case for keeping the subject centered in the frame...it really gives the feeling of solitude. I like the over all color balance and the reflection of the subject adds interest. Well Done. Regards -george

This can be nothing but a Japanese horror movie poster. Imagine the name of the movie in bold on the top and cast and crew in small letters in the bottom and the slogan on left or right "SHE NEVER SLEEPS". Creepy.
