On sunny days when shooting waterfalls and moving water I use two polarizing filters (when they are almost perpendicular they block most light). For me it is easier than carrying a bunch of ND filters and they almost always work. This picture was taken about 12 or so inches above the surface of the pool of water in the foreground.

What a beautiful place. I agree with the earlier critique about composition. I might have cropped the photo into a landscape proportion with the bottom edge somewhere below the branch that protrudes from the water, making the branch a foreground object. I sense that the shape of the light pool reflection in the foreground drew you to crop so low, but the water is relatively devoid of detail or interest to help balance out all of the visual activity that's happening in the back. With the exception of the ferns along the right bank, which are a little too hot, the photo is nicely exposed. Thanks for submitting, Best regards, Steve Wong
