Interesting scene, surely able to give a pleasant sensation of "high" and close to the sky.
There's a pleasant sun's presence, so I'm asking if a colours version could be better: maybe, in colours, also the "cumbersome" dark part on right could seem less cumbersome, IMHO.
Ciao.

I got to get out more, like the photo, wonder if you changed your position to left and shot, naturally cropping the dark rocks on the right and wider view of valley

Thanks, It would be a bit of a lung buster to go back and reshoot but your point is well made.

Thanks again - Mark

I like this photo and the depth it's able to transmit. However, I was wondering if such kind of photos don't give much more if in color.

Thanks, In colour this is too blue and hazy, the black and white with a red filter, clears some of the haze allowing the distant mountains to be seen more clearly against the sky.

Mark, I am out of breath just thinking about a climb/hike to a place such as this. I like the barren rock background and the cloud seperations in the sky. Perhaps your foreground rock included in the composition is a little dark.
