Please, don't comment on the scan quality... :-( Yet, any suggestions for how to remove the artefacts that you can see at the lower right corner?

Hi, nice picture overall. I like the moody brownish tone palette and the framing, but i think you should have focused more properly on your subject. is it the duck or the bridge?. as I look at the image, attention swaps from one to the other. overall, the background soon tends to dominate and the duck wich should be the attractant pole to the sight slightly slips out of perception or, which is worst, becomes a disturbing element of the composition. I have not a clear suggestion on how this picture could have been better but maybe sacrifiyng a bit of the background and zooming on the duck would have given the subject more visual relevance. you have asked not to comment the scan quality and i will not. try cleaning perfectly the glass surface of the scanner or just change the resolution or even better install the most recent drivers for your scanner.

Grazie Vincenzo,

Good points, probably your critique is better than my photo itself ;-)

In fact there is not a single focal point in the image, and apparently this is a flaw that is relatively often criticised in my photos.
