Love this photograph Im not even going to try and find a fault with it (Is there one?).
Again I could hang this on my wall. How much photoshop work went into it?
10/10.

Thanks for the comments, Rodney. Very little PS, actually. Obviously, in this version I did the B/W conversion, but other than that it is mostly levels. I did a slight "dodge" in the bottom right to bring out the small tree, but that's it.

Excellent capture Philip! I will echo everyone else and just add that perhaps the branches on the big tree not be cropped. This is one real nice image though. I would love to find a landscape like this.....someday man...someday.

Thanks, Jeff. The left cropped has always bothered me about this shot. I think I was focusing so much on the positioning of the main tree and the and little one on the right, that I didn't notice I was losing a bit of the limbs on the left.

Stark image. I like the effect from denoising the clouds. What's with the thin white outline around the edge of the tree? Is this an artifact from sharpening? I notice it, therefore it detracts from the overall effect. Good work.. -Mike

Thanks for the comments, Mike... Yeah, I got that outline when I converted to B/W; it's not there in the original color version of the shot.

Love this sky, Philip. Nice drama up there especially through the tree and proceeding to the horizon. Definitely like the right half more than the left. Nothing wrong with the left you understand....just that the right really makes a statement. I might have loved to have seen a bird up in this tree. Get a vulchur up there and I'd fall out of my chair..lol. Even with the absence of wildlife this is a fine looking shot. Nice work, IMO. Spooky....mysterious. (2+TU)

Oh boy! Lovely shot! The silhouette and the approaching storm make for an eerie shot!
Lovely use of perspective, scale, and placement of elements in the frame.

love it all! The tone, how the tree to the right blances the one to the right plus adds scale. Very atmospheric!
