Hi Patrick!

This one is awesome - like a painting. I love the colors. BTW: could you please tell us what settings do you use on your 5D? It is the new Landscape setting of this camera that makes the different, stronger colors compared to your 20D photos? Or is it post processing in photoshop? I think the colors are way different to the 20D photos you've shot before.

Thank you for sharing.

Hi Frank...Thank you for your great comment. I do use the Landscpae settiongs but I am not sure if it does anything when shooting raw files. Some say it only affect the Jpeg Images. Nevertheless I still set up my camera in Landscape mode just in case. I am a former Velvia user and love the satured look of landscape images. BTW it is night and day if you compare images from the 20D to the 5D. I dont regret my investment...:)

Hello, Patrick. For me Your landscape from Costa Rica is excellent by colours. Composition is very nice, too. I heard many times that Costa Rica has beautiful nature. I cann see that in Your picture, now. Thank You very much. Best regards - Tomasz.

It's a perfect capture in my opinion. The shutterspeed created a very nice "mistic" wave and the light, sharpness and colours are just fine. The reflection of the rock at the beach is very nice. Regards, Marinus.

stunning image and scenery. like the timing on the waves also as they have a softness that does not spoil the wave action. my only concern might be the 50/50 split by the horizon line of foreground and background. the height of the island somewhat determines this however there is still a set up competition for subject, be it sky or the sand and islands. very nice image however.
