macro shot with motion blur, 2 second shutter speed, iso 100, f/11, i clicked the shutter with the flash and the zoomed out, then did a tight crop so it would be a "macro shot"... too close?

this has to be one of the best, just love the depth that you have given this intriging flower, I have two bushes growing in my garden and have felt they are too busy to take shots of, but now looking at your composition I am of a different opinion, thanks for sharing......

I think this is close to being a success. It's a really interesting subject, and yet another reminder that some of the strangest things in the world are right under our noses (sometimes even literally). You did a good job with the zooming during the exposure, which adds more to the bizzarriosity of the photo.

Things that would make this a 2.5TU instead of a 2TU:

I wish the center thing (pistils? stamens? yellow pollen prongs?) was in focus. All the other ones are in focus. But I guess the paper-thin DOF as too thin to get those and the center one in focus at the same time. But I think you should broaden the DOF a little to be able to get them all in focus at the same time.

On the thing to the right of the center thing (the one with lots of those yellow-tipped prongs), there is a white light right in the middle. It looks like the flash reflecting off some liquid right there, or something. If you felt like it, I think it would improve the photo to clone that out. It just takes me out of a feeling of really being there, and reminds me that it is just a photo.

Finally, what does "ap at 2.5" mean? I'd have guessed it was aperature, but the tech info on the left side says f/11. It also says shutter speed 2 seconds, while your comment says 2.5 seconds. Which set of exposure data is right?
