I like the contrast between the greyed out cars in the reflection and the blue car on the right. This photo really grabs my attention but I do agree that the major scratch needs to go for this to work. Carole

Hi Carole, calling all cars, the scratch must go, the scratch must go, :) That's a problem because its exactly on thirds... No, fact is, this is a snap that makes use of what is/was and... you're probably right. Thanks. take care. Luc

Hi Paul, 2 of everything? Because it was early morning, I guess :-) Nice observation. Silvery gray must be the new colour for little cars nowadays... This is the only bike that made it to the stop... The mirror was an inox pole keeping up a building, close to a traffic crossing in Northern Italy. I was having a strole. Checking out crops :-) I'll get the thing polished for your other thumb. Next time. Thanks. Luc

Luc, thought this was a creative shot and thought the details came out well. Agreed with Guven about the crop. Technical aspects are good. Actually liked the reflection being a little dirty, has a nice realism feel to it. Enjoyed this.

Hi George, oh it's real allright :-) On the crop, let me refer you to my answer to Güven. This #1 is actually the second shot I took in the series. Both have the similar cropping choice. This one has more data/traffic in the picture. The first one (car with lights on and reflection of bus) had relatively less data... but a heavier sound, I thought. Thanks for your thoughts. Luc

Good eye Luc. Suddenly reflections, although got dirty by the city, influence over the reality. A bit more space at left, put the vertical line of the round corner at 1/3rd, if possible, would be better. Regards, Güven.

Hi Güven, thanks for the first thing monday morning critique :-) I understand and may agree (on vertical right)... in principle :-) I did not choose for exact thirds because that would have quieted the picture down. I wanted the inox reflection to dominate reality. Thus it was to be heavier, or reality smaller/more compressed. That is why things are disturbed. I sought that effect. But maybe it doesn't work that way... Thanks for calling. regards. Luc
