The bridesmaid was taking a break from shooting at a historic building so I thought I'd get an impromptu shot. Outside Weddings are very difficult to control for lighting. Here it was high noon so I chose to control the lighting under the canopy from the building we were in. I tried to reduce washout outside with a graduated filter in post processing along with usual tweaking adjustments to contrast, color, saturation. No other manipulation was used. Ideas and critiques are always appreciated.

Rod, I really think that this photo has better potential as well. The background is to sloppy for me. Clone some of it out (the pole, sign, car, red car tail light). Also burn in some of the background a bit I see some blue in the sky try to make it more apparent. The pines would look better as well I think not so washed out as they are. I really do think this is a very beautiful photo with a bit more post work. Thanks for sharing!

Agreed on the background. I fight with myself on how much photo manipulation I should do so alot of the time, I just leave as is on my posts in Psig and experiment for myself. Thanks for taking time here.

This picture has a lot of potential but i think that the composition is too centerd. Placing the bride either on the top or the bottom of the frame would make the picture by far better.

Normally I would agree with you, but in this case I ws trying to use the natural framing of the building and vines for effect. I tried various croppings left/right/top/bottom, but in the end thought this was best.
