I was just playing around with a cheat lamp with no cover and an incandescent light bulb. Kinda liked the angle. I know your not supposed to have the nose stick out past the face but at the time I took this I didn't know that :-)

Love the lighting and sharpness. Great shot, such a handsome model! LOL.

Hello

Very beautiful portrait, I like the glance, framing is well. Nothing has to say.

The crop at the chin is a little tight for my tastes, Todd. Not really certain just what the rules of potraiture are but that's the feeling I get looking at this. Actually, I didn't even know that thing about the nose sticking past the face. At least you've done your homework. I'd also probably have preferred the eyes even sharper. Even this near one isn't as sharp as I think it needs to be for a portrait.

Everything else looks good though. I like the shadows on this side of the face and the gaze seems appropriate. I do see some large pores on the face you might want to be careful about getting too sharp though. Maybe if you could focus more just on the eyes. I think you're on your way to something good considering the lighting you're hobbled with. Keep at it!
