scoring early in the cup final the players celebrate, alas their joy was short lived as they were beaten 5-1

Great shot here Jim. I do a lot of soccer shoots myself and I know it is not that easy to cath a great moment (for me at least). But this one is really nice en emotional. Nice portfolio by the way. I hope the nose of one of the guys on the pic survuved the hug ;-). Thanks, Eric

Hi Tim, I'm not a fan of football but I enjoy your shot tremendously. I like the jubilation expressed on their faces, too bad they lost :-) Image is sharp and the "pile-up" forms a nice triangular shape. Nice shot! Best regards, Fong

It's a good sports celebration shot. Sometimes we focus too much on the action and too little on the passion of a sport. Celebrations help display that passion. The guy on top epitomizes that passion.

hi david, thanks for your comments, i do agree with passion and stuff but here in N Ireland it seems the papers just seem to use these type at the moment, loads of photographers at this final, when i checked the papers on the sunday absolutely no action shots player on player, just celebrations and i find that a pity. regards tim

Tim, Fantastic grab! Good angles with the players with the emotion right at the top of the two lines. Good dof for just the players. I would have liked to see a goal net or the ball or something that cements the game that is being played. Hope life is good!

Thanks,
Shawn.

Nice shot! I particularly like the hand over the player's face in the middle. For a second, and from the thumbnail, I thought this was an AC Milan picture. Technically, it seems to be just a hair overexposed in the white parts of the jerseys, like on number 11's back. I think I'd have shot it a little underexposed to prevent that. Excellent work on the background! I almost never get a clean background like that on a soccer shot. Finally, the crop on the left edge is just a hair tight, and not symmetrical with the right edge crop. The bevel just catches the boot. I'd suggest a slightly looser crop on the left. Thanks for sharing it!

hi philip i wish it was milan LOL, irish league, the sun way coming in and out all the time and was difficult to get the exposure right because as soon as i set it and started shooting the light would change. regards tim
