It's not a bad picture, but it's also not particularly good. The rear petals are dropping out of focus but not very convincingly - I'd be inclined to either keep them in sharp focus or drop them deeper out of focus, either way it would look much more like an intended effect rather than something that just happened.

The effect of desaturating the background but not the flower is effective although your edge definition jars a bit, again the back of the flower is much worse where I can see a fairly clear line. Either you need to use a feathered selection or multiple layers and a soft-edged brush to erase the sections you don't want. It's easy to do a quick-and-dirty job but to do it properly can take a lot of time. The front petals don't have a problem with edge definition so much although the stem does, so it looks like where you've dropped things out of focus you've struggled with edge definitions.

Nicely exposed, but the cut and paste is a little ugly, particularly in the background petals and the stem. A bit more feathering in your selection would help. I think it's 'alt ctrl D' on a PC. Not sure about Macs, but it would make it much more seamless.

I am new to photography, but the outer petals of the flower are out of focus which is not very pleasing. There is too much yellow in the center part where the primary focus is concentrated and that makes the detail blurred.
