I like this even more than I had initially thought I would, Howard, After a bit of looking I find the light in the house to the distant left appealing in some sort of way. Perhaps it balances out the sun. Sorry, still working my way through such technical theories. And I do like the sun as well. Just enough star-like flare so as not to overpower. About my only pick would be the boat in the water. I think this might be a little stronger without it.

Thanks- yes I time the photo for when the lighthouse light flash my way to balance the sun on the other side and I wanted the kayak just crossing the suns reflection- Howard

Well then I got it right! Nice to know I'm picking up on these things even when I still have difficulty putting words to it.

Great details and colours in the clouds. You have captured the sunrise at the perfect time not to have it burn out your photo. Just a small nit - how about cloning out the light on the cliff at the left -- it does not add anything to your composition.
