This is a nice concept, expressing a binding among the two women, and underlining how wisdom comes together with age.

While the portrait of the older woman is excellent, I think the youger one would be better with her eye visible.
It looks clear to me that it was hidden on purpose, maybe to point out the youth is also some sort of blindness, but still I think the overall picture would gain something in expressivity.

Hello Simone. Interesting photo, very emotive with well chosen b&w convention. Pretty shame that young girl is only partly visible, also I can see some grain - propably after sharpen effect. Overall, a like it, it's one of that thing that makes you go "hmmm...." :) Regards, Tom.

Too soon old, too late smart, right?

I think you chose well to have the older woman's face in sharpness rather than the younger one. I really doubthe younger woman's eyes and lines could have been anywhere near as fascinating! In any event, the indistinct younger woman suits as a simple archetype. Nice work.

Experience vs. beauty. Great portrait. Simone, this is a beautiful photograph. Love the idea of comparison. :)

This is a simple, yet emotive portrait. Very nice

I would need more Depth of Field in this especially for the nearest subject. She is an integral part of the picture.

The hair over the eye of the young woman is very distracting.

You possibly cropped too soon at the top of the photo where the older woman's head is concerned.

Good shot.

Dale

I have cropped, not focused and not showed the eye of the young girl to enfatize the difference between the two women: the young girl (indecision, confusion) and the elderly woman(sure, honourable and strong). I know that at a first look the eye can seem distracting, but if you read my explanation, I hope you will understand my choice. Simone
