Good colors and composition. The background is nice, but the fat vertical line on the right makes a distraction. Good otherwise.

I agree with most others about the line on the right. I love the colors, contrast and softness. I like how this lense turned out. I think a macro would give you a sharpness that I wouldn't prefer to what you've got here. The subjects (flower, butterfly) look great a bit softer.
Too bad you missed the tongue on this little guy.

Beautiful butterfly image with a very nice composition, the lighting from the side gives a great modeling here, and I think if there isn't the white thing at the background will be excellent ~ edmond ^_^

Beautiful image, I admire the patience to obtain that photo, good center and details of the butterfly.
Nice work

You're doing pretty well w/o the macro lens, too! My only issue here is with your composition. I'd have liked it if you moved to the right a bit to avoid that beige line behind the butterfly (a stem?). I'd also crop out the little leave beneath the base of the flower. What other lenses do you have available? I like the 17-40 f/4 L for stuff like this if I can get close enough b/c it's about 1:4 up close at 40mm.
