This is the Seattle LDS Temple. It's my first try at Infrared photography. I know lots of you hate manipulation in PS but I really think it works here. It gives it a more 3d look. I printed this @ 13x19 from my Epson 2200 on Velvet paper and its INCREDIBLE! The small pic here doesn't do it justice. It's got a slight canvas texture to it that doesn't show up here. I hope you like it.

I think that manipulation has it's benefits - one being that it occasionally can spark a renewed sense of creativity from a traditional photographer. The way you speak of this photo relates your excitement, which could in turn, provide you with the desire to continue to improve. All in all, I think this is a decent effort. I do feel that it conveys a sense of depth - the detail in the trees versus the simplicity of the sky really draws the viewer into the scene. I would be curious to see what the same photo would look like with a bit less outlining on the objects, as it tends to gravitate attention away from the texture in the trees. Overall an interesting image!
