My girlfriend, taken during our weekend trip to the lake. I'm hoping at some point she'll allow me to take some studio portraits of her.

Comments & critiques are greatly appreciated.

This one has it all, accept a litte light in her eyes. Perhaps using a flash would solve the problem. Nice work. Regards, Ed.

Given what has been stated below. I would like to add that I think that, if the horizon was not cutting through her head you would be one step closer to a very nice image.

You have a very nice model here with a nice smile. I hope you will take many great portraits. I think this one could have some improvements to it. The light is at the back so the light on the face is very flat, I think you need to take it at a different angle, give more modeling to the light and letting it graduate across the face. Crop a little from the top of the frame

Thank you for the crit. This is exaclty the type of feedback I appreciate. I hadn't considered the effects of the light when I took this shot. I do have another shot taken at the same time, that I will post when I am alllowed to submit another photo, where the light works the way you describe.

Thanks again.
