Though the tail of the butterfly seem sharper than the head and antennae. Focus is really critical in macros! Like the color saturation. It is right on! The subject seems a little too centered. I'm wondering how it might look it you cropped it or composed it a little off center might make the composition a little stronger. Maybe focus directly on the eye. That would put the body of the butterfly well off center (rule of thirds)and perhaps solve that slight softness toward the head. Good work overall. Keep on shooting. Reply  Show ratings

Had it been correct you would have more than enough DOF for the butterfly. Come to think of it, this might have been even better if the admiral had not been in the dead center. Reply  Show ratings
