I like the concept with the torn water-shoes, but they seem slightly out of focus to me. Also, The picture would be much more interesting if it were taken at a different angle, probably lower, rather than right above. Try taking more pictures of one subject, exploring it from different angles. Or even just search around the subject at different angles and such while looking through the viewfinder, and taking a picture when a certain point of view strinkes you.
