The colors are good. I like the textured background since you used a solid blue frame. It helps accentuate the main subject. I would like to give it 3TUs, but the composition bothers me. I think the center of the toothpick swirl would be better placed on the upper right "rule of thirds" point. Maybe you could recrop and resubmit to see if it's better that way? A good photo that can be an excellent photo.

a very simple object, but it look very nice here. the blue color is the good choise. and the eye very following the toothpick to trun around . very interesting idea. simple clean and nice

The colors and the simplicity are just fine. However,
I would rather see the entire bowl and toothpicks. The
lighting is a little harsh near the lower right corner.

A simple and effective composition making this pic really eye-catching. The placement of the subject is nice. Use of lighting is perfect and the overall image is razor sharp. What's the blue background??? I wish it could have been a pure blue background without the scattered pattern, may be by further limiting the light source on it?
