mm, its just a shame he is on it.....he looks like he has been in the sun a little too long.....or he drank too much..then again,..... u did say u were watching him in action??! so, maybe a little red faced is understandable?!
She looks a little nervous...also understandable...for a snapshot is good, but your right about the flash and him looking pasted, frame is good.....(not the ones in the background that would probably feed half the nation for a year if they sold them)......
did u try this in black and white??? make a good docu shot i think in black and white and also calm his skin tone down.

Nice photo. Under the circumstances, this is an exceptional image. Sure... it could be improved, but in the world of photojournalism (and that is really what I clasify this as), sometimes you only have 1-2 seconds to take the image. Is it perfect? Of course not. Could it be improved? Of course. Could the lighting be better? Most definitely... if studio lamps for instance were set up. Is any of that practical under the circumstances? Absolutely not. You had 1-2 seconds to either take the picture, or fush with your camera and the composition and end up loosing the shot. Under the circumstances, an exceptional image.

I'm giving Will three thumbs up because he had about two seconds to take that photo. Also it was either him or myself and he let me stand next to Bill. What a guy!

The shadow under their chins tell the truth. The flash that took his picture is on the right. The flash that took here picture is on the left. Two cameras. Two pictures. Watch the details.

As a conversation piece, this is a great picture; as a photograph it fails. Clinton's facial skin tone is very displeasing, looks like he's been drinking the whole night. Izzy's dress and Clinton's leather jacket blend together forming an uninteresting visual space. The dark, deep-red background creates a somber atmosphere that does not go well with Izzy's smile. The image lacks sharpness. The composition is OK. Of course, taking the circumstances into consideration, any other image might not have been possible.

Got to grade you on the shot and not the politics here Willis. That awful dark shadow in the lower center has ruined the photo op and the Secret Service Agent in between them who's got his eyes on you in case you try anything, should have been 'eliminated' with shorter DOF. I know you were probably 'blinded' by Bill's presence but a true photo hound never lets celebrities get the best of their skills. I see promise in your future.

I agree with the technical merit here but give you the benefit of the hard to get image. I ought to post up some of my "W" photos and see how they do... That on camera flash looks like it does not work with larger sized lenses,,, I have the same issue with the D-30 and D-60

For getting the photo in a hard to get moment. Technical merit sometimes misses the point. By the way it is a mystery to this Canadian why so many hate this guy. From this side of the border he seemed like a good pres, a little indiscrete but heck thats been part of power politics for millenia. Anyway a cool moment captured is better than not.

Izzy was a fellow photog that Willis had known for a while before they both ended up in NYC at about the same time. She was at the White House as Willis' date. Sheena can tell you about their eventual marriage if she wishes. Isadora ("Izzy") is now known as Sara Blackburn, and Willis recognizes her in his acknowlegements.
