An Adirondack pond presented unreal colors during peak fall colors. These Common Mergansers took off in a bay while we were kayaking. I followed them and got off a few shots at about 300 mm. I sharpened a bit in Photoshop. I like the muted effect. It is like a watercolor but it's real.

I just wonder, if you could move ducks and their reflections little lower so that they would be totally above water and cot cutting shoreline. But even now the impression is great.

The colors are great indeed and i like the unsharpness of it in the background and water.
The bleuish reflection of the 'ducks' on the water is perfect. It's a pity that the ducks are not sharp even a unsharp mask will not correct that. But with a 300mm in a kajak this is not unexpected.
The position of the ducks is excellent

Nice photo, making great use of the fall colors and ducks to bring the autumn atmosphere. The usage of the long exposure is very nice, and the only regrettable thing is that in doing so, the ducks got a bit smeared as well. Tomer
