Well done still life with a strong human presence. Absence of the wearer evokes a feeling of nostalgia, perhaps a little sadness, without excessive sentimentality.

While it's hard to believe someone actually wore thos shoes up until they looked like that, the picture certainly shows well the leather and abount of use. What we don't see is how they might smell. Good use of texture and focus to depict this scene. Well done.
