What fun! You don't look very protected in there, Jonathan, more like popular culture ate you for lunch.

Hmmm... let's see if I can string my thoughts together coherently. Very interesting treatment of a self portrait. I very much like the tones, pale and a bit cool, but alive. There is a certain two-dimensional quality to it, I think I'd like it to feel deeper, if that makes sense. The other thing, compositionally speaking (and forgive me if it is way off base, as you didn't provide much insight into your goals here) is that there is alot of empty space at the right that throws the otherwise balanced image out of whack. There is some strange texture there, but nothing tying the image to the right side of the frame.

Fun kick to the eye. You look very morose and rather stuck. Fun :)

well, Sadie, I like a little negative space, but that's just me. My only goal here is self-expression.

I like it too... the left side, top, and bottom are so connected though, that just the right side blank seemed to unbalance it a tad. I dig your self-expression. Would never wanna talk you out of that :)

Interesting artistic approach. The contrast between the soft colors and the black area is strong. The only comment, imo, is the eyes expression -- it is too mechanical (emotionless).

The image of the computer Graphic Infrared card "Vetro GeForce FX 5200" is slightly similar to your work. Maybe you'll want to explore the net to check it out.
