A child's poignant gesture.
A suggestion: if you have sufficient pixels, I'm wondering whether a tight crop framing just the child and the woman setting next to him, including some portion of the purple curtain as the left border, would be even more dramatic (also cropping out the metallic object, and string, along the bottom edge of the window frame).
