the pose is quite nice, colors good, this jay is just not positioned right to show its best side under the right light.
You could help this by using a second layer on the original, and blending on SCREEN, with the lasso (with a feather of at least 15) just keep the dark part and delete the rest, use the eraser to ajust the contours and voila!!
