The photo is a good capture with an expression that is priceless. The darkness around kind of fits in with the saddened look.
Your location isn't too back, but the DoF could be more shallow thereby bringing out the child's face.
If the child was facing the other direction or you had left more space in front of her versus behind her it would be close to 2TU.
A good rule-of-thumb to to make sure that if the photo is not centered, that the subject has more space before him or her than behind them.
Your photo is overall a good capture ------- continue to share.
