Hi Paul, thanks for sharing....I personally don't think this shot is working, firstly you describe the vastness of this wilderness but unfortunately the photo is not showing us this message at all well, my eyes are trying to look around the grass which feels in the way to me, certainly not adding a strong compositional element. There is also a unpleasant color cast over the shot, probably from the scanning, but this needs some adjustments. Hope you find this helpfull, cheers, Kev.
