Robert, the structure of this photo is wery nice. I like how trees made natural framing and do perspective effect. Vertical frame is a good choice. Cropping the road is fine. Just due to flat colors, B&W would work better. Besides, I dont know what was your Aperture ratio and F stop. But it should be high. Picture can be sharper IMHO.
