Great portrait. You already mention about the blur. Yes, I think that this is a valuable picture. The expression of the baby is great. The hand contact between the baby and the adult tells the story as well.
The picture is a litle bit dark and I think that the portrait will improve a lot with more contrast and color. It is my impression that the original colors of the fabrics are more saturated than they are in your picture. The original colors will give more life to your picture . . . I think.
