I love horse photos. While the horse is very sharp, the background takes away from the photo. Especially the fence post behind the horse's head. The crop is awkward that high up on the neck. Nice catch light on the horse's eye.

I love everything about this picture except for the border. Lovely colors, nice angle for shooting, excellent sharpness and DOF. I think composition can improve a little by trying different crop ( maybe some more space on right and top). Generally an excellent shot.

Interesting enough to warrant a look. There are elements that are attractive but there are elements that are not. That shadow, at the right hand bottom of the frame, as not association to any object and, in the process, creates too much attention. The overall effect, that I get, is that the whole image lacks contrast and is a touch "washed out". The sky, behind the house, also looks "splotchy". The well, itself, attracts attention and begs the question of what it...

Good focus on the eye which is very important when doing portraits and closeups. The nice blurred background is complimentary but the blurred areas down in the right bottom corner and the back of the lizard are detrimental to the overall quality. Your choice of aperture, whilst achieving the nice bokeh, also created the DOF that caused those blurred areas. A higher F/, like F/11, would have helped in this instance. Cheers, Rick.

IMHO the only wildlife photos worth viewing are ones where there is some life in the wildlife. Nice capture of predator and prey. I'm viewing this on a small laptop with 60 year old eyes, but it seems the image is not up to the tack sharp ideal that most birders appreciate. The ugly green vomit background detracts strongly from the subject's appeal. Opening up enough to make the background identifiable would lessen it's power and add depth to the image. The downside would...

I'm drawn to photos, such as this one, with compositions strong enough to be appreciated at thumbnail size. Everything works except the visual strength of the window in the upper right. It's too strong, practically a second subject. My eye jumps jarringly between it and the model.

I like the warm evening tones, but the subject? could be a bit stronger. I would love to see some object (boat, person, birds, etc.) in the foreground to give a bit more depth. As is, the one dark object in the lower right adds little and could be cloned out. Cheers

Nice lighting arrangement, I like the composition between the dark side and the bright side of this image, and the point of interest is clear....,but the model pose is ' too shy ' and this is the only weak point . IMHO.

Don, while I appreciate the Halloween characters, the garish over-sharpening and processing makes the grass and bushes almost painful to look at. As for the composition, I see nothing of interest or value in the upper 1/3 of the image. Sorry, but IMHO, the flaws are too obvious to ignore. Cropping and re-processing might help, but not if that was the look you wanted in the first place. :-)

This could be a frame out of a surrealist movie. The subject, man with mirror plus reflected women, stands alone as an eye-catching freakishly rare juxtaposition. The fragments of 2 other people make it surreal, not only because they're fragments, but for the little touches: the pigeon toes, wondering if he is the bubble blower; and that it's easy to image the second mirror carrier gazing at the women being reflected. The tilt of the paving lines adds to the unsettling...

Well seen - a study of lines and placement. However, some things bother me. The pier posts along the bottom of the frame. If you are going to include them, I think they should be anchored and not just "floating" - they need a base. Another issue is the sun's placement - the water reflection is blocked by one of the piers. You would have to walk around and see whether there is a better angle - possibly not.

This is an interesting reflection shot and I love the building on the right and the sky. I am not so fond of the figure though. The angle that you captured has resulted in a significant loss of separation of the man's head from his body- the shapes in his upper body area all sort of blend together, and lowers the impact some for me. What assured and stylish taste in these your reflections images! Also here you center the target to be not boring working ever on the same idea. Nothing to tell, apart of clap hands.

I like much composition and general effect. Only there is IMHO a strange problem in that center/right zone (where the cables disappear), there the fog seems unnatural

To be honest, the extreme sharpness has an artifact/unnatural appeal....but definively also this aspect here works well and sustains the fantastic and so original (but clearly defined) mood. Stylish and original.
