Images like this require the expressions of the subjects to be spot-on, and while the expressions are Ok, I'm less sure about the quality of the image. If the faces of the subjects were pin sharp I think this picture would really work well. As it the slight softness takes something away from the image, although the back-lighting is nice.

Beautiful model and beautiful light. However the wrinkly background doesn't work, and her eyes are much too centered in the frame. Pull her away from the background more, and compose more in thirds with this light and you'll see how much better this will get.

It could use another light source. She is backlit and the light is much too flat. Her pose is fine, but without another light source from a reflector, or strobe, it's left her too one dimensional. With the number of images you have submitted, you should do a lot more crits too.

I like this, Theodoro. The composition and colours are great. The silhouette is good against the golden sky. The biggest problem is the sun glare and lens reflections on the left. I, also, like the airplane in the right upper corner. Thanks for sharing. Tina

This is a beautiful model with a gorgeous smile. I noticed some flaws First, the color tone is cold(on the blue side) On my monitor at least and I calibrate mine with hardware. I like the Rembrandt lighting attempt the light is coming from the broad side to the short side, but its not quite there...You may want to sharpen this foto some more, maybe use some High pass and unsharp mask. I would also crop in some more to have a tighter shot with the eyes at around the top...

Hi, Enzo!
What a wonderful post you give to us here. I agree with previous critique, but dont give you 3TU just because the shot size. Post it greater to give us more details to help us to critique.

Excellent capture while in flight. Your image as presented here needs some attention. The color looks better on the outer frame than the actual photo. It is also flat and dull. Finally there is too much dead space around the action. Crop in tighter with portrait crop. You have the making of a fine image it just needs adjustments in post.

Hi Paul. Black and white birds are very difficult to expose perfectly. Except for a few scattered blocked-up blacks and blown whites, I must say you did pretty good. The composition is good and I really like those scattered white flowers- they add a touch of whimsy. Wish the rusty rail was not in the bg. Still, an enjoyable picture. Thanks for sharing. Best, Amy

Very nice close up of this calm looking lion. Your focus looks good and the bg is oof enough to not be busy. To me the photo seems a bit flat due to the muted tones of the lion , ground and bg. You could try a little saturation and contrast to make more of a statement of the lion. This does not look like a zoo shot, were you lucky enough to be where lions are? Carole

I like a lot your photo. Happy, innocence is words Cumming out looking your photo. I like the colors, focus is good and I like the DOF and the way the blurred flowers looks. the frame is good(maybe more space at the right) and about the exposure Is good on the face but I don't like the the flowers at the right is overexposure, the eyes should looks better. about the noise just by a better camera.
Regards Alex

Welcome to photosig, Colin.Good color and saturation on this image. The bridge stands out nicely in this rural environment.I'm wondering why you didn't make the image symmmetric - that is, why the extra stuff on the right? I don't think it contributes anything. Also, it looks like you removed a telephone pole on right of the bridge, but didn't do a good job, and also left the wires. Why did you shoot at 1/2000 sec? The bridge isn't going anywhere. A slower shutter and f/11...

Good setting but i think if u taken it from a different angle where the grass is not drawing so much attention to itself, and focus abit more on background, you would have captured it just right. try croping 1/4 from top as the clouds in sky not doing it any justice. ;)
